How Specialists Work
LeanCore specialists aren't generic assistants. Each one is a distinct team member with their own identity, expertise, and tool access.
Creating a Specialist
For each specialist, you define:
- Name -- who they are (e.g., "Alex -- Finance Analyst")
- Department -- where they sit in your org (e.g., "Finance", "Operations", "Customer Support")
- Job description -- what they're good at, how they should behave, what standards to follow
- Tool access -- which connected systems they're allowed to use
A guided setup walks you through this. You describe the kind of team member you need, and the system drafts a job description that you review and refine.
Inherited Company Knowledge
Every specialist inherits the full company knowledge base automatically:
- Company profile and industry context
- Business flows and processes
- Organizational structure
- Knowledge source locations
- Decision rights and approval chains
You don't configure this per specialist. They all know the business. What makes each one different is their role, their expertise, and which tools they can reach.
Team Collaboration
LeanCore specialists don't work one at a time. When a task has multiple parts, the team works in parallel -- the same way a real department would split up a project.
Structured Task Execution
Complex work is broken into steps with a defined order:
- Steps that can run independently run at the same time
- Steps that depend on earlier results wait until those results are in
- The manager orchestrates all of this
A task involving five data lookups across three systems doesn't take five times as long. The team divides and conquers.
Multimodal Deliverables
Specialists can generate professional documents in multiple formats:
| Format | Use Case |
|---|---|
| Reports, summaries, formal documents | |
| XLSX | Financial data, tables, spreadsheets |
| DOCX | Word documents, letters, proposals |
| PPTX | Presentations with charts and images |
| CSV | Data exports, tabular data |
| HTML | Web-ready content |
Each deliverable is generated through the AI pipeline and available for download.
Persistent Memory
Your specialists remember:
- Every conversation you've had
- Every document you've shared
- Every correction you've given
- Every rule you've set
They build institutional knowledge over time, just like any good employee.
